Other Desert Cities

Wow it has been a really long time since I have written in this blog.  I have just been so crazy busy but don't worry I have a few things to write.  So everybody get set and get ready to read.

On January 8th, 2012 I wanted to go see the show Other Desert Cities which stars Rachel Griffith, Judith Light and Stockard Channing.  At least those were the people that I wanted to see.  I went with my sister because soon she would be leaving for college so I figured why not go to a broadway show before she left.   We almost didn't make the show because we got lost 30 minutes before the show started.  Sadly we kept passing the theatre and not realizing it, but 10 minutes before the doors closed we found the theatre.  You have no idea how grateful my sister and I were.  We did not want to miss this show.  I must say this show was quite amazing.  It had drama but it always was lightened by some comedy.  They balanced out so well that it made the show enjoyable and entertaining.  Also, the actors were fabulous and I would go again to see the show if I could.  I really do recommend this show to anyone above the ages of 13 years old.

Judith Light and me
After the show I really wanted to meet the cast so of course my sister and I waited out by the stage door.  My sister Brooke was really excited to meet Stockard Channing and so was I and luckily she came out first.  Before the show Brooke and I were talking about a vhs we had of grease that was from a store and we forgot to return it.  It is probably about 10 years over due, so we figured why not get it signed. Okay I thought that and not Brooke.  So we meet her and she sees the tape and says "I wonder what that is".  It was really funny. Thankfully she signed it and was real cool about it.  We even got to take our pictures with her.  She is a very sweet lady.  I did get to meet Rachel Griffith and she was very nice.  I didn't get a picture with her because she seemed very cold and looked like she had to go.   She did sign play bills and take a picture or two.  Then Judith Light came out and I was like YAY.  I wanted to meet her at her other show Lombardi but I only got a signed poster while fighting some old men out of the way.  When I met her I told her I really wanted to meet her but when I tried I got bombarded by some old men.  She was like well  you got to meet me now. She was really cool and funny about it.  And of course I was excited to meet her. For it being so cold out that night the cast was incredibly kind to all of the fans who were waiting.  I was glad that I went.
