A star in Twilight the Musical

Jenna Leigh Green and Me

Jenna Leigh Green and Me
On 1/16/12 there was one night musical about the movie Twilight in an off broadway theatre.  In all honesty I really could careless about Twilight.  I'm really not a big fan.  But when I read that Jenna Leigh Green was going to be in the show I knew I wanted to go.  I watched her on the show Sabrina The Teenage Witch as Libby and I thought she was cool.  I also saw some videos of her on youtube singing and she sounded amazing.  I had literally found out about this musical just days before it was happening and it was already sold out.  Still I didn't care I wanted to meet her so I decided to just go and wait until she came out of the stage door like most fans do. I got into the city around 7:30pm and the show didn't start until 8pm.  It was freezing that night.  I went in and out of stores just to keep warm.  Around 9:30pm I headed to the theatre to wait.  As I waited it started to get even more colder and it started to snow.  I did not expect that to happen.  While I was waiting I met some star kids fans.  Turns out some of the star kids were performing in the show.  Eventually the show ended and the actors were coming out.  It wasn't until about 30 minutes later Jenna Leigh Green came out.  I really wanted to meet her and I thought I might miss her so when she came out I literally jumped at the opportunity.  I held out a picture of her and said "Please will you sign this".  I think it might of scared her a little because I don't think she was expecting it.  She was really nice and I even got to take a picture with her.  Actually two because the person taking the picture didn't know how to do it.  Anyone who takes pictures with my phone doesn't know how to do it.  Its kind of funny.  Turns out the guy took two great pictures.  For someone who didn't know how to use it did very well.  Now if only my sister could take as good pictures.

RED TAILS

I just want to say that this premiere was the most unique premiere I have ever went to.  And probably I had one of my lucky days because I got to meet some people I would of not expected to be meeting and it was amazing.

January 10th, 2012 was the day of the premiere of Red Tails at the Zigfield theatre.  I was bringing a friend of mine sara to her first movie premiere and of course I was running late and she was already there waiting for me. She even met someone else who was waiting to see the red carpet appearances.  When I arrived I saw sara and I will call the girl Amber sitting at a table talking and looking out the window.  I brought food for me and sara to eat and we kept out eyes right at the window because something weird was going on and we didn't know why.  Normally when there is a movie premiere there are barricades on the opposite side of the road so fans can stand and watch.  Well this time there were no barricades and the entire red carpet was in a tent so we really couldn't see anything.  I was quite shocked because I never saw this happen before.  We finished our food around 5pm and when Sara and I went to throw our food out we both noticed a man who sitting at a table who looked very familiar.  Of course I dragged Sara with me to meet the guy.  And its no shock I made her ask who he was.  I've done it so many times I figured she should start feeling more comfortable with people and start asking who they were.  Turns out the man we knew looked familiar was no other then Chuck Knight.  He was going to the premiere and he was just waiting until it started just like us.  The only difference is that he had a ticket to go in and we didn't.  Well after we had a small conversation with him Sara, Amber and I went outside.  As the time got closer to 6pm we started to get nervous.  Something just didn't seem right.  We were standing across the street from the opening to the red carpet.  I could understand the tent because it was FREEZING outside, but not the barricades. When it did start we saw a few people arrive but none of them stopped to say hi.  They all were pushed in and were put on the red carpet.  I think security did that because they wanted things to go on a schedule.  Which is understandable but some people didn't really take that well to that.  After a while and seeing some celebrities we got to meet Terrance Howard.  He came out of the car on our side and he stopped to take one picture.  He was on a time limit and it was nice of him to take at least one picture.  Then security escorted him to the red carpet and we all went to back to standing on the sidewalk.  More cars kept stopping and letting people off but it was very hard to see.  Sara went to the the entrance to the theatre and when she got a good spot she told us to come along.  Now this spot was actually a lot better.  We could see the end of the red carpet and some of the celebrities were coming out of the theatre.

Bon Jovi
Me and Tia Mowry
Most of the celebrities on the red carpet went inside to the theatre so at first really I didn't get to see anyone.   While I was standing and waiting for someone to come around I started looking at the cars.  Random I know but I saw this man in a red jacket come out.  I started to think wait a minute he looks familiar.  And of course he looked familiar because it was no other than Bon Jovi. I really didn't expect him to be there but then again you never really know who is going to show up at a premiere.  Then to another surprise of mine I got to meet Tia Mowry.  I was shocked because I always thought it would be cool to meet her since I'm also an identical twin.  And also my sister Brooke and I tell everybody that I was with my mom while shopping and she was with her dad shopping and that's how we met.  If you don't know what I am talking about, I am refereeing to the show Sister Sister which Tia and Tamera Mowry starred in. Of course I kept yelling this out to her.  I was glad she heard it too.  I told her I was an identical twin and asked her if she was older or younger.  Sadly she said younger.  Sorry but I'm older and us older twins got stick together.  Yes I enjoy being the older twin.  But I was able to get over it after we both had the two minute difference between our sisters.  She said I was funny and of course I kept trying to be funny.  And as usual I wasn't.  But she was really cool.

Me and David Bugliari
Then after again waiting for a little bit Terrance Howard came out.  He came out with a few people and I wasn't excited to see Terrance Howard but one of the people who was with him.  When I saw this guy come out of the theatre I was like "OMG".  And to make sure this was the right man I yelled out "Are you Alyssa Milano's husband"?  The man I was excited to see was David Bugliari. When he was about to go back into the theatre I ran up to him and asked if he was Alyssa Milano's husband.  I am a huge Charmed fan and also an Alyssa Milano fan.  When he said yes I got very excited.  I kept telling him how much of a fan I was of his wife's.  I then asked him if I could take a picture with him.  He seemed surprised that I asked him that.  I was so glad that he said yes.  He came out of the theatre again and of course I still bugged him.  He was really cool because I was talking to him a lot.

Ne-yo

Tristan Wilds
Me and Chuck Knight
Me and Cuba Gooding jr
After the movie the stars started to pour out.  Ne-yo and Tristan Wilds came out.  A lot more celebs came out like James Earl Jones, Samuel L. Jackson but I couldn't get any pictures.  When the movie let out it went crazy.  So many people came out all at the same time.  I did get to meet Chuck Knight afterwards and get a picture with him.  Then Cuba Gooding jr came out and I was having fun with him.  I kept yelling out I will pay you $5 for a picture.  Then I said no you pay me $5.  I was having a lot of fun and of course I kept talking.  He said "You got a lot to say".  I said " I know that's what my mom says... then she says be quiet".  He laughed.  I was just having  a ball and I got to take a picture with him.  He's a really down to earth funny guy.

Terrance Howard and Me
Well after I was done taking pictures I made a last choice decision to go to the after party.  But on the way I passed a hotel where some people were staying at.  I will not name the hotel but I can tell you I met Terrance Howard there.  He was a nice guy.  I got to take a picture with him.  I then saw David Bugliari again.
I felt like I had bothered him so much that I went to apologize to him.  He is a very sweet genuine nice guy.  He said that it was fine and I told him I tweeted the picture to his wife.  He said that he would tell her and of course I had to say my twitter name ashtv43.  Later that night when I got home I checked my twitter and Alyssa Milano had tweeted me
@Ashtv43 My husband had a nice time meeting you last night and said you were very sweet. Thank you for your support. ~HUGS~

I thought he might of been to busy to remember to even tell her.  I started dancing and screaming around my room at 1am when I read the tweet.  I was just so happy.

I went to the after party and I was able to meet George Lucas but my phone died so I couldn't get a picture with him.  I must say I hadn't had this much fun in such a long time.  I was glad I didn't miss this for the world!!!

Other Desert Cities

Wow it has been a really long time since I have written in this blog.  I have just been so crazy busy but don't worry I have a few things to write.  So everybody get set and get ready to read.

On January 8th, 2012 I wanted to go see the show Other Desert Cities which stars Rachel Griffith, Judith Light and Stockard Channing.  At least those were the people that I wanted to see.  I went with my sister because soon she would be leaving for college so I figured why not go to a broadway show before she left.   We almost didn't make the show because we got lost 30 minutes before the show started.  Sadly we kept passing the theatre and not realizing it, but 10 minutes before the doors closed we found the theatre.  You have no idea how grateful my sister and I were.  We did not want to miss this show.  I must say this show was quite amazing.  It had drama but it always was lightened by some comedy.  They balanced out so well that it made the show enjoyable and entertaining.  Also, the actors were fabulous and I would go again to see the show if I could.  I really do recommend this show to anyone above the ages of 13 years old.

Stockard Channing and me

Judith Light and me
After the show I really wanted to meet the cast so of course my sister and I waited out by the stage door.  My sister Brooke was really excited to meet Stockard Channing and so was I and luckily she came out first.  Before the show Brooke and I were talking about a vhs we had of grease that was from a store and we forgot to return it.  It is probably about 10 years over due, so we figured why not get it signed. Okay I thought that and not Brooke.  So we meet her and she sees the tape and says "I wonder what that is".  It was really funny. Thankfully she signed it and was real cool about it.  We even got to take our pictures with her.  She is a very sweet lady.  I did get to meet Rachel Griffith and she was very nice.  I didn't get a picture with her because she seemed very cold and looked like she had to go.   She did sign play bills and take a picture or two.  Then Judith Light came out and I was like YAY.  I wanted to meet her at her other show Lombardi but I only got a signed poster while fighting some old men out of the way.  When I met her I told her I really wanted to meet her but when I tried I got bombarded by some old men.  She was like well  you got to meet me now. She was really cool and funny about it.  And of course I was excited to meet her. For it being so cold out that night the cast was incredibly kind to all of the fans who were waiting.  I was glad that I went.

Take a trip to the Letterman Show

Hey everybody.  I know I haven't been posting a lot lately, but don't worry.  I have been a little busy but I am still working hard on trying to meet celebrities.  Which leads me to this post being about at the letterman show.  I think this was last week.  I forgot the exact day.

I didn't have tickets to the Letterman show but I did know where the guests would enter into the studio.  So I decided to go an hour before the guests would show up.  This day was going to have Bill Cosby, Mark Harmon and Mike Judge.  Bill Cosby was filming the second show since on thursday they film two episodes.  I had promised my dad that I would try and get an autograph from Mark Harmon because he liked to watch the show NCIS.

David Arquette and Me
I sat by the area that was gated off for fans to wait.  I was really hoping to meet Mark Harmon.  Well as more and more people start to show up there was an unexpected guest who walks by us.  Who could it be other than David Arquette.  It was really cool to meet him.  He came over after one person started yelling for him to come over.  For him to do that was really cool especially since all he was doing was walking by.  I even got to take a picture with him.

Probably about 40 minutes later Mike Judge arrived.  I really didn't know much about him except that he created the show Beavis and Butthead.  He turned and waved to us and then went into the studio.  Then not to long after Mark Harmon arrived and also went straight into the studio.

I knew they would be coming out with an hour so I decided to wait.  So fast forward time and then we see a car getting ready for someone to be leaving.  Who is it but none other than Mark Harmon.  I guess he had to go somewhere because he jumped into the car and just left.  Of course some people ran after his car when he stopped at a red light.  And of course I was one of those people.  Sadly he didn't open his window to sign autographs.

Mike Judge
I ran back to maybe meet Mike Judge.  Even if I didn't know much about him it would still be cool to meet him and get an autograph.  What was really cool is when he came out no expected him to come over, but he did.  It was really cool, he was taking pictures with people and autographing pictures for people.   I got his autograph and was completely shocked.  He actually printed his name out and I have never met a person who prints their name.  Most just scribble lines or some weird marks as a signature.  He was really a nice guy.  I was glad that I waited for him.  Well of course I could have left that moment but I decided not to.  I thought it would be cool to actually meet Bill Cosby.  I was told he will autograph for people but he has security collect the stuff and he signs inside.  I must say that is kind of smart.  He's getting to a bit older and he probably doesn't like standing outside long.  My wait wasn't that long.  He came about 40 minutes later.  I got to see him in person which was cool.  I'm not upset that I didn't get a picture.  Just seeing him in person and getting an autograph was enough for me.

It was a good day for meeting celebrities.  I think I might go back to the Letterman show to meet some of their guests.

CRAZY FOR COMIC CON

Captain America
Have you heard about comic con?  If you answer is no, then let me tell you what comic con is.  Once a year in different places a convention occurs.  This one is all about comics.  If you love comic books and have never gone before you must.  I'm not a comic book fan but I love to meet celebrities.  Even if your not a comic book fan this is still an experience you must have.  People who are dedicated to this convention dress up in amazing costumes.  This year in NYC they had the comic con on October 13-16.  When I found out that Rose McGowan was going, I knew I had to go because I always wanted to meet and actor and actress from the show Charmed.  Also I am a fan of Rose McGowan.  I thought I should just add that part.

Big Bird

On saturday October 15, 2011 I got up very early in the morning and headed to the city for the convention.  I knew this place can get very crowded.  I'm very glad that I bought tickets before the convention instead of there. I recommend if you ever go to Comic Con you should always buy tickets ahead of time.  If you decide to just buy tickets there it's a bit more expensive and limited.  I arrived to comic con around 9am.  Even by arriving at 9am there were probably over 8 hundred people there and possibly more.  The place filled up very fast.  At 10am they were finally letting people in because they wanted to get organized first.  When you go to the comic book section your jaw drops.  Trust me it will.  If you don't believe me then you should go to comic con and prove me wrong.  There were just so many comic books and memorabilia.  It was quite amazing to see.  I didn't really have an interest in this part of comic con so I headed toward the side where they were having the signings.  This area also had a stage for people and acts to perform.  There was even a kid section.  Also what was really cool is they had some cars from some movies. I think most people would recognize the cars.  If not start watching more television and movies.  You could take pictures in each of the cars for just $10.  It seemed like a pretty good price and  it attracted a very large crowd.  I walked toward the Rose McGowan book signing and went on line.  I had brought my 4th season charmed dvd because I thought it would be awesome for her to sign it.  When I got on line I was told I needed to have a ticket.  They told me to buy a ticket at a booth about a few feet away.  No one knew we had to buy tickets and trust me I asked a few people on line.  Still I knew this was worth it.  Charmed was a big part of me and I knew that I wanted to meet Rose McGowan.  So I got my ticket and went back on line.  When she arrived I was clueless.  I didn't even see her walk by anyone and no body made any noise.  Finally someone did say she was here.  I saw her and I was like OMG.  I couldn't wait to go see her.  She was just one of three people I have wanted to meet for several years.  I couldn't believe I was just moments away from meeting her.  I think the wait was about 25 minutes.  Not long at all or at least it didn't seem to me.  I finally got up to her and something I have never experienced happened.  I was shaking and I could barely speak.  I didn't even get this star struck with Betty White and I'm a big fan of Betty White.  While she was signing my dvd box I told her something that I have barely have told anyone.  Very few people know this.  I told her " I have a severe anxiety disorder and high school was a nightmare for me.  When ever I felt like life wasn't worth living any more I would think or watch Charmed and it felt as if everything would be okay". She grabbed my hand and said "I'm glad that Charmed helped you".  I was still shaking and a nervous wreck.  I almost started crying because I was so happy.  I always wanted to thank one of the actresses for making Charmed so amazing.  I couldn't believe I got that experience, and I really wanted to talk to her more.  So I did something that I knew would be expensive but I knew I wouldn't regret it.  I bought a VIP meet and greet pass.  And I'm glad I did.

Me and Michael B. Jordan
While I waited until some of the VIP events including a picture with the cast of the movie Conana and the meet and greet afterwards I decided to waste some time.  Honestly I just walked back and forth from booth to booth and getting really bored.  Out of no where I recognize someone from a tv show.  I didn't know his name but I did know his lips.  I would know those lips anywhere.  Strange I know but he has distinct lips.  Otherwise known as big lips.  I must say he was looking fine in person.  His name is Michael B. Jordan and he plays Alex on the show Parenthood.  I went up to him and I asked are you from Parenthood?  And he said he was.  We were standing in front of a ride and he just gone on the ride.  I don't remember exactly how this came up but he was telling me he had just gotten on this ride and he was still adjusting getting out of the ride.  I have been on these rides before and it isn't so bad.  So of course I had to bug him about it.  I told him are you crazy that ride is nothing.  So one of the people he was with said are you calling him a softy and I said yea.  He told me to go on the ride but I said I didn't have anyone to go with.  So of course he joked about that I was alone.  I want to let everyone know we were just joking around.  It was all in good fun and humor.  He was a very cool guy.  I enjoyed getting the chance to meet him.

I then went on my way to waste some more time.  I really didn't have anything to do so I decided to watch the people who were on stage.  There was one guy who was singing and i just decided to sit and listen.  I really have no idea who was performing, but he did have a good voice.

Me, Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang and Rose McGowan
There was still about 45 minutes left until the pictures would start.  I decided to head towards where I would have to line up anyway.  There were actually a few people there who were on line already.  So I went on line and waited.  I talked to a few people on line.  It was a decent wait.  I had some fun by trying to be funny.  Of course I wasn't that funny but I tried.  Eventually it was my turn to get my picture taken with the cast.  So I walked in doing this really bad dance move in a high pitch voice "everybody dance now".  It was pathetic but so much fun.  I then waited for my picture to come out.  I then I headed straight to the meet and greet.

When the meet and greet started I was so excited.  I didn't know what was going to happen but I couldn't wait to meet Rose McGowan again.  I had so much fun at this meet and greet.  I got to ask some questions and she told us some stories.  It was AMAZING.  I really did love every moment of it.  I even learned a few things about film.

Me and Rose McGowan.
The next day I went back to comic con.  I wanted a picture to remember meeting Rose McGowan.  I was very happy when I got to take a picture with her and I wanted to do something else instead of just stand there.  So of course this is what I decided to do.

This weekend was the best weekend EVER.  I loved every moment and I will never forget it.

Lizzie McGuire All GROWN UP

Hilary Duff had a book signing in Tribeca on October 10, 2011.  Even though I hadn't read any of her books I didn't care.  I had watched Lizzie McGuire when I was growing up and I thought it would be cool to meet Hilary Duff.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff
I was running late to this book signing, but I still got there around 2pm.  I might not of have been the first in line but I had a decent spot on line.  I was pretty excited to meet Hilary Duff.  I hadn't planned anything ahead of time of what I would say, but I'm usually good at winging it even if what I say sounds lame.  I try to be entertaining and funny all the time but sometimes its not always entertaining and especially not funny.  I have to say the wait wasn't so bad.  I got some food and spoke with some people on line.  What I really enjoyed was reading with people on line from a book that told us how to say dirty words in German.  I'm not going to lie it was fun and HILARIOUS.  The book was so strange, but it really did help pass the time away.  It's always fun to pick up a random book and start reading it because you never know what you're going to read about.

Finally the time had come for the book signing to start.  Hilary Duff was in a traffic so it didn't start exactly on time.  NYC always has traffic and especially more traffic with the wall street protest going on.  No one was upset about it because we all knew she was coming.  I know I didn't care because it's NYC everyone gets stuck in traffic here at least once in their life.  Well, let's skip to the part when she did arrive.  It was pretty cool and as she was getting ready to meet the first person of course I had to yell things out.  Here are some of the things I yelled out "You go girl" "You go sign those books"  "You can do it".  What was really funny is when I got to meet her and she said I was entertaining her.  So of course when she signed my book I had to do bad dance moves and say "Go hilary go hilary".  I have to say I thought that was pretty cool.  At least I got recognized in a line of A LOT of people.  I didn't count so a lot will have to be my number.  If I had to guess there were probably  a few hundred people there.  It was a big turn out.

Hilary Duff
So now you are probably thinking that this was the end of my adventure.  Let me tell you it was NOT.  Of course I had to stay and ask for a picture.  I knew I had to try and a few other people were going to try it also.  The waiting for the signing to end wasn't so bad.  It seemed pretty quick to me.  When the last few people who were on line to get their books signed there was now a small crowd waiting to see if Hilary Duff would take a picture with them.  We all kept yelling "can we have a picture please".  At this time Barnes and Nobles was telling her she had to leave.  But what was really nice is Hilary Duff made the person with the camera take a group picture of all of us and it would be posted on her website.  The picture isn't up yet but when it is I will post it right here.  I have to say it was a fun and entertaining day.

Mr. Chocolate Man

On September 28, 2011 I had no idea what I would be doing that night.  Alright I lied I figured I would have class, but my night class got canceled and my first class ended early.  Wait it gets even better the book store where Taye diggs would be at was only 2 BLOCKS AWAY!!!  I felt like I had luck on my side.  It seemed like it would be an easy adventure.  Well I had a few surprises on the way.

The book signing started at 5pm and I was running late.  It was 5:30pm and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make the book signing.  So as soon as class ended I called the bookstore and I was so thankful that the book signing had not even started.  When I got outside I ran.  Turns out I am not a great runner.  I gave it about half a block and gave up.  I just started to speed walk.  I finally arrived at the book store after about 20 minutes.  I did get a little lost but it was only when I was less then half a block away.

Shane West and Taye Diggs

Taye Diggs
Let me tell you I had no idea what kind of a book Taye diggs had written.  I thought it was an autobiography of his career.  Can you believe how shocked I was when I walked into a children's book store.  I got on line and waited to buy the book Chocolate Me by Taye Diggs.  When I did I found out not many people were going to get their book personalized.  All the books were signed previously and Taye Diggs was just going to personalize it.  Another surprise that I got was when I saw another person with Taye Diggs.  Turns out there was another writer, Shane West.  I honestly had no idea who Shane West was but he seemed very cool.  Since I had come late I had expected to be waiting for a while.  I was very wrong.  Most of the people there were under the age of 5 years old.  Those kids were so happy when they got to meet Taye diggs that after they met him they started to cry.  That would of been really cute if that did happened but instead the kids cried before and after they met him.

Taye Diggs and Me
I was number 36 in line. I was holding my Chocolate Me book waiting to get it signed.  I did meet some other people who were waiting to meet Taye diggs and had no children with them.  I have to say I think the children out numbered the adults.  The kids were in complete control of the book store.  Well  at least I thought so.  Finally it was my turn to get my book signed.  I asked Taye Diggs if I could get a picture with him and luckily I did.  It was pretty cool.  I even told him he should play a lawyer in glee for his wife's character since it looked like she would be needing one.  He said you should write about it. I responded with I did for Julie Andrews and then I tried to continue with his character story line of then marrying his wife's character.  By the way if you read my blog I will ask all people to be on Glee.  What can I say I'm a GLEEK.  Then I met Shane West and I got him to sign my book.  He found the name I chose to get personalized very interesting.  I asked for the book to be personalized as ABBA.  I know first thought is to the music group ABBA.  But no this was actually My sister Brooke's and my initials. I decided I would share a signed book with her from Taye Diggs.  I explained it to Shane West and he just thought it was a cool way to get a book personalized that way.

I have to say even thought it was a bit crazy in the beginning it was a lot of fun going to this book signing.  Even if there were a lot of screaming kids.
