Director On Set

September 10, 2012 I went to a dvd signing at Best Buy in the city.   I went with a friend of mine to the dvd signing.  I always like meeting directors because I hope to become one one day.  I was excited to meet James Cameron.  I have to admit I'm not a big fan on Titanic, but I didn't mind getting a dvd of Titanic signed just so I could meet James Cameron.

My friend bought my dvd earlier in the day so we would have a spot on line.  We didn't know how crowded it would be so we thought the earlier the better.  We got their early around 4pm.  The signing started at 7:30pm.  At the time barely anyone had shown up.  It didn't get crowded until 7pm.  At the time I was shocked at how late it was until people started showing up, but at the same time I realized that most people were students and they just started school.

There was a Q and A but only for the film academy students.  The Q and A went on for about 45 minutes. Luckily they let everyone that wasn't from the Film Academy go first for the signing.  I was exhausted that day because I was in the city since early in the morning.  I even fell asleep sitting down on the line.

When I got to meet him he was really cool and very kind.  He took his time with everyone he met.  He was a down to earth guy and I was glad to have met him.  If I could I would meet him again.

Fashion Night Part 1

On September 6, 2012 was the first night of FASHION WEEK!  Let me tell you there were a lot of people out shopping their hearts out in style.  I don't know if it's me but I'm not big into fashion and for some reason I felt like this years fashion is back to the past with 80's and 90's style.  But that's just my opinion and based on what I saw last night.

I was out from 6:30pm to 1:30am in the city trying to meet people.  Around 8pm I met a Giant's football player.  I don't know much about sports, but I am a fan of the Giants.  His name is Osi Umenyiora and he was a very cool guy.  When I saw him the first thing I said was "Dude your really tall". He didn't respond to that.  After the picture I said that his outfit was really cool and shiny.  It was and it was awesome.  He was a sweet guy.

The next person that I saw wouldn't be until 4 hours later.  Let me remind you it was a long night but since I was with friends it made the time go by.  We were just standing around and a friend of mine saw Adam Sandler and then we noticed that Kevin James was with them.  I already met Adam Sandler but not Kevin James.  He was really cool and took pictures with us.  Since he was in a hurry I took a picture with a friend of mine.  I love the picture because it looks like I am jumping into her picture.

It was a great night and a lot of fun too.  I can't wait to go out for another night on fashion week.

I Met A Voice

On August 30th 2012 I went into the city to go meet some stars.  I planned on trying to meet certain stars but I wasn't lucky.  Oddly enough I ran into someone that I recognized and was shocked to meet on the streets of NYC.

I saw this woman and she looked very familiar.  I then realized she looked like someone from Phil of The Future.  I then put it together that she was also the voice of Lisa Simpson.  To make sure I was right I tried to disguise myself as a regular new yorker walking on the streets.  I was with a friend at the time and she told me not to meet anyone when she went to get water.  Well I kept up pace with Yeardley Smith and looked for my friend at the same time.  I stood by close to hear her voice just to make sure she was the right person.  I know how strange this sounds.  Right before she goes to cross the street I see my friend and I stop Yeardley Smith and ask "Are you Lisa Simpson"?  I honestly couldn't think of her name on the spot.  I have a lousy memory.  I sometimes forget my friends names thats how bad my memory is.  She responded yes and I asked for a picture.  She was really sweet and said okay and I was like "Oh my god its Lisa Simpson"! Yes I'm a Simpson's fan.  I took the picture and she said it came out a little dark is it okay?  I said I can always lighten it up.  Honestly I think it came out just fine.  She was asking me what's my name where I was from.  She was truly very SWEET and AWESOME!  I was really glad that I got to meet her.

Stand Up For A Cause

August 26, 2012 I went to a fundraiser.  It was hosted by Carly Jibson and it was to raise money for her mother's medical bills.  Her mother had stage 4 cancer in her lungs and bone.  Great news is that her treatment has been working and she is now a stage 3.  I can relate to Carly because my grandmother has  stage 4 cancer to, bone and breast.

The fundraiser included a bunch of broadway stars each singing a song.  It was quite beautiful.  And Carly made sure to keep everyone laughing and when she spoke about her mother it brought a tear to everyones eye.  I didn't plan on going to this fundraiser because I didn't hear about it.  I literally got in last minute.  Such as 2 hours before it started.  I sat near the front and the table next to me Perez Hilton was sitting at.  He was very sweet and very cool.  My sister is a big fan and she even got to speak to him on the phone.  He was very cool about it.

After the show I spoke to Jenna Leigh Green.  I'm a fan of hers from Sabrina The Teenage Witch.  I have never seen her perform live before and when I found out she was  performing I was so excited.  I've wanted to hear her sing ever since I knew she could. I wasn't able to see her in the broadway show Wicked.  I must say she was phenomenal.  I was so glad that I got to see her perform.  She was even nice enough  to speak to my sister also.  My sister had a great night speaking to some stars.


It was a very lovely and heartwarming night.

Take Me Out To The Park

August 25, 2012 was a very long day.  I went to the east hamptons to watch a baseball game for charity and then rushed back to the city to meet a star who is doing a show.  It was long and exhausting but I had a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to meet 2 stars today.

The first one that I met is Mark Feuerstein from Royal Pains.  He is adorable in person.  No lie. Ladies he's a hottie with a body.  I met him at a charity baseball game.  He was very sweet and I got to take two pictures with him.  The first one came out a bit dark so he said he would take another one.  He's AWESOME!

Since I didn't meet anyone else I left early than I planned too.  I went into the city to try and meet some other stars.  At this point I didn't know who I was going to meet.  Until I met up with some friends and we decided to go meet Amy Adams.  She is now performing in Into The Woods at Central Park.  I camped out for one of her shows and I never got to meet her so I was excited when I decided to go meet her.

It was about 11:30pm when I got to meet her.  She was AMAZING and very sweet.  I had some camera technical problems and she even tried to help me figure it out.  It was totally cool and unexpected.  I was so HAPPY that I got to meet her.  I had a great night.

MATHTASTIC

On August 16th 2012 I went to Danica Mckellar's book signing.  I went at 9am to get the book and then I came back at 4:30pm to meet up with a friend to go to the book signing. We waited a few hours until the seating area was opened because the signing didn't start until 7pm.  While waiting I just hung out with my friend.  It was fun and the time flew by.

When we went upstairs to get our seats we were in the second row by choice.  We didn't want to sit in the front row so we chose the second one.  The event started about 20 minutes late because of traffic.  It happens all the time so it wasn't a big deal to wait.

The event started with a discussion.  Danica spoke about her career and her math books. It was pretty cool and inspirational to see how one person can work on trying to make  difference in the world through math.  Personally when I see a math problem I get a massive headache and just shut the book.  After meeting Danica I might change my view.  I do recommend people to get all of her books.  Anyone who struggles with math these books are very helpful.  They make learning fun and they are relatable.

After the discussion there was a Q and A.  Most people asked about Danica about her books and educational questions.  Of course I would ask her about her guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory.  What can I say I just love TV and Film.

When everyone asked the questions they wanted to ask the signing started.  There weren't many people in front of me which was awesome.  But of course when I go up to say hi I get tongue tied.  This happens to me all the time.  I can be fine one moment then get tongue tied the last minute.  I got so nervous that I forgot to look at her and instead I  looked at the camera.  I was totally awkward, but that's who I am sometimes.  Not intentionally.  But she was really sweet and so very kind.  Anyone if you meet her you will see how AMAZING she is.  And she is also GORGEOUS!

A Spell With a Touch of Music

August 2, 2012 I went to Live with Kelly to meet Caroline Rhea, Joey Fatone and Nick Lachey.  When I had got there all of the guests had arrived.  I was quite shocked because it was so early in the morning.  Usually the stars didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after I had gotten there.

The first that I was able to meet was Caroline Rhea.  She was really cool to meet and funny.  I was so glad to meet her because I grew up watching her on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She was hilarious and I tried to be funny too and when I'm nervous.  I say the stupidest things not meaning too.  I'm just not funny when I'm nervous nor ever.

The next person I met was not at Live with Kelly.  Sadly I wasn't able to meet Nick Lachey because he was running late. Not going to lie he is a hottie!!!

Since I couldn't meet Joey Fatone at Live with Kelly I heard he was going to be at The Chew which was down the street.  I went with some friends and we waited to meet him.  Since it was only the three of us when he did arrive we got to take pictures with him.  He is really a sweet guy.  I would totally want to meet him again.  It was a fun time.

The whole day was interesting. There were ups and downs but overall I met some great people.
