Chiller Part 2

Butch Patrick and Me

Brooke and Butch Patrick
4/28/12 Day 2 at Chiller Convention.  I didn't meet that many new people because I didn't have a lot of money left.  I did know that I wanted to get Butch Patrick's autograph on a poster I had of the Munsters.  I never dreamed of ever getting it signed because most of the cast has passed away.  I was glad that I got to meet Butch Patrick.  When I met him he said that he was only signing pictures 8x10.  Mine wasn't that small and I was shocked.  Literally I went from happy to sad.  Then he said just kidding and told his sister did you see her face. He was laughing while I was confused and shocked.  He was a cool guy.  I took a picture with him and he was really nice he took one with my sister too.

Brooke, Me and Cathy Moriarty

Then we started to walk around and we decided to head over to Cathy Moriarty.  Brooke had wanted to get a picture, but we didn't get one yesterday.  Cathy is AMAZING!  We kept talking with her and we were just having fun.  She let us have a group picture and then take them individually.  She knew we would want one by ourselves because she has twin's of her own. When it was Brooke's turn to take one by herself I stood in the background making a funny face.  I really couldn't resist.  But don't worry we went back later in the day to get another one.  I explained and showed her the picture and she laughed.  She didn't know I did that.  She was really kind about it and let my sister take another picture.

We then went to meet Holly Marie Combs again because I had season one of the show Picket Fences that I wanted to get signed.  I handed it over and she looked surprised.  I guess no one had asked her to sign one yet that day or this whole weekend.  It was really cool.  I even went to thank her for the picture that I took with her and Brian Krause.  I love this picture.
(the picture is on the first chiller post).

I then decided to have some fun.  If anyone watches The Ellen Degeneres show then you might know something called 'Dance Dares".  I went to different stars and danced behind them.  Some of the dances were just to funny.  I asked permission for each star that I got because I didn't want to upload something that they did not approve of.  Especially if I'm dancing really bad behind them.  A lot of them started laughing and got a big kick out of it.   Here is the video link to the dance dares.

Brooke and Dean Cain
Later in the day Brooke wanted to get a picture with Dean Cain.  So we went to get a picture with Dean Cain.  He was really cool and amazing.  Not to mention he's really HOT!!

For a few more hours we kept talking to some stars that were walking around.  It was a lot of fun.  I am really happy that I came to Chiller Convention.  All the people were just so kind.

Chiller Part 1

I have been waiting so long for 4/27/12 to come.  Why you ask well let me tell you.  This day is the first day of the chiller convention in Jersey.  I'm not a jersey girl,  but I found out Brian Krause and Holly Marie Combs were going to be there and I knew I had to go.  Charmed is a big part of my life and one of my goals in life is to meet everyone in Charmed.

Brooke and I got into the hotel early because we got an early train into Jersey so we checked into the hotel and then waited around in the main event area.  I stood by a ramp where Brian Krause was and started talking to him.
Me and Brian Krause
I said hi.  And he said hi and said what ya doing and he said drinking water and its wet.  I responded that's good its wet otherwise it would just be weird.  I became awkward and when he wasn't looking I turned around and made this "OMG" face.  Finally I was able to go into the event because they were letting general admission in.  I went straight to the Holly Marie Combs line.  It was long and I wanted a spot and Brooke said go see Brian first because the line was shorter.  I went to meet him and I was like aaaah.  I was extremely awkward because I was just so nervous.  This all felt like a dream.  I just couldn't believe it was real.  I spoke too much.  But he was really cool and down to earth.  I even got to take a picture with him.

Me and Holly Marie Combs
Then I went back to my spot on the line for Holly Marie Combs.  We had to wait a little bit but it wasn't so bad.  By the time I knew it I was in the front of the line.  Holly Marie Combs was so sweet.  I'm talking like a blabber mouth and I keep talking and talking.  I talk a lot when I get nervous and excited.  I even got to take a picture with her too.

Brooke, Vincent Pastore and Me
Then I went to go see Linda Blair.  I promised a friend to get her an autograph for her because she's a fan.  While on the line we were right next to Vincent Pastore's table.  He's a really funny guy and I started talking to him.  We were joking around.  My sister really started to like him because how funny he was and wanted to get a picture.  I asked how much and he said your twins right?  I don't know how he knew but he was the only one to guess that. He said he would do a twin deal. (pay for one for the price of two).  My sister got an autograph and we both got a picture with him.

Brooke, John Astin and Me
Then we went to meet John Astin.  Brooke really wanted to meet him so we went.  We started chatting and my sister got a picture with him.  I even got in the picture which was cool.  I was kind of getting in all of the pictures with Brooke.  I like getting picture with stars.  Gives an interesting story to tell, and with out them I wouldn't have this blog.  He was a cool guy.  I forgot he was old because so many years has passed since the Adams Family in the 1960's.  It's weird to think it was that long ago.

Then my sister wanted to meet Cathy Moriarty. We were all having some fun.  I can't speak for Cathy Moriarty but I will speak for Brooke and me.  We were both laughing.  She even said we were funny and should have our own comedy routine. I really don't get how we're funny.  I know I'm funny but I think Brooke still needs to learn a few more jokes.  Then Brooke got her autograph.  We started to just walk around the convention and check out the stuff they had.  Of course any of the other celebrities I saw I would make jokes.  With Lou Ferrigno I tried making a muscle and then he made one.  It was a lot bigger muscle than mine.  I had lost that match.

Brian Krause, Me and Holly Marie Combs
Then around 8:40pm I really wanted to take a picture with Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause together.  I like getting professional looking pictures and doing something funny.  Oh my god was this picture funny.  I went in I said lets do something interesting.  Holly Marie combs asked what should we do.  I said I don't know with Rose Mcgowan she pretended to beat me up.  Holly then said she could see that.  So we take a picture and I was like what. It was a confusing moment.  I was wondering why she said and at first I thought she was talking about me being easily beat up.  Then when I left I think she meant Rose Mcgowan and now I want to know more about that.  It was just really funny and the picture came out pretty funny.  I can't wait to hang it up on my wall when I get home.

Garry Marshall In The House!!!

4/26/12 Union Square barnes and nobles was having Garry Marshall come for a book signing.  I've seen some of his movies and he is a big part of the film industry and I wanted to meet him.  I thought I could learn somethings about the film industry.  I love to hear people speak about the film industry.  I always learn something new.

I went with my sister Brooke and we got second row at the signing.  The front rows were reserved for Garry Marshall's friends.  Most of them were from where he grew up as a child.  That's pretty cool to still be in touch with those you grew up with as a kid.

When Garry Marshall came he got interviewed.  I forgot the name of the guy who was asking the questions, but I have seen this guy at other book signings at Union Square.  When they were done talking he took questions from the audience.  I always love it when they let the audience ask questions.  You never know what people are going to ask.  Most of the questions were about the film industry or Garry Marshall.  Sorry no random funny questions at this signing.  I got to ask a question.  I asked if he had any advice about the film industry with writing and directing.  He said he was a writer and that I should keep writing and keep trying to get my scripts out there.  I thought that was great advice.  Then he asked if I was going to school and I said yes.  He was really funny, cool, calm and relaxed.  You can tell when some of the stars doing a signing are nervous or you know its their first signing.

Then I got my book signed and it was a great experience.  He again told me to keep writing and when I get a script picked up that I should say that its my script and that I get to direct it.  He didn't say it in those exact words but something similar.

Letterman with a Hint of Sister Act

4/24/12 I went to letterman because I wanted to meet Amy Poehler.  My plans that I had before the Letterman show taping had changed so I got there extremely early.  I arrived at around 12:30pm.  I had 4 hours to waste, but it wasn't so bad.

Raven Symone and Me
It was cold out but I ate lunch and tried to keep moving as much as I can.  Around 3:30pm people were waiting but something unexpected happened.  The stage door to Sister Act is across the street from the stage door of the Letterman Show.  So who happens to be arriving but no other than Raven Symone.  She was very sweet.  She said she liked my hair and I asked for a picture. She actually said "someone take this girls picture".  I was amazed.  I thought it was cool.  I was the last person to get a picture with her.  She went inside because she was cold.

Me and Amy Poehler
About and hour later Amy Poehler arrived.  She went straight into the building.  I figured I already waited 4 hours I might as well try and wait another hour and see if I could meet her.  I'm glad I did because when she came out she came and signed and took pictures.  Amy Poehler was really nice and I enjoyed meeting her.  Her publicist was taking the pictures for fans.  She was being rushed by her publicist but she still signed and took pictures with anyone who asked.

It might of been a cold day, but it was still an amazing day.

STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

4/23/12 I went to see Struck By Lightning at the Tribecca Film Festival.  Chris Colfer wrote the screen play and because I'm a fan I knew I wanted to see the movie.  I saw the trailer of the movie Struck By Lightning and it looked interesting.

I am glad I saw this movie because it is now one of my favorite movies.  Its funny, realistic and overall an amazing movie.  I could go into all the details of the movie, but I rather not. I don't want to ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it.  A message to distributors out there.  BUY THIS MOVIE.  IT IS A MUST SEE MOVIE.

After the movie two of the stars (Carter Jenkins and Roberto Aguire) of the movie came out to do a Q and A session.  It didn't last long because it was around 11pm and the theatre wasn't going to be open much longer.  I was with my sister and we decided to go up to the stars and talk to them about the movie.  Okay we really went so we could get pictures with them.  They were really cool and of course I was saying random things.  Especially about lightning because earlier that day it had been raining.  Carter Jenkins and Roberto Aguire were really down to earth guys.  I was glad to meet them and I didn't even know they would be there.  It was a nice surprise.

Roberto Aguire and Me
Anyone who can go see this movie.  Trust me you will be giving a standing ovation when you finish watching.  It really is an amazing movie.

Family Day with BANDS YAY

4/22/12 was family day with the TJ Martell foundation.  This event was for kids, but I'm a kid at heart.  They had some carnival games, face painting, auctions, arcade games and live music.  I'm not going to lie, but I was glued to the pinball machine, especially because all of the games were free.  BIG PLUS.

I should get to the bands now.  The first singer was Ariana Grande.  She was amazing.  She did a few songs some new and old.  I didn't get any pictures because I was dancing so much.  Next was Cobra Starship and I got a bit to focused on the pinball machine.  Next was Cody Simpson. I don't know who the girl was singing with him, but they were pretty good together.  I don't really listen to his music so I don't know much about his songs.  The lighting on the stage was a real pain because it affected the pictures.  Train was next and the last band to go.  I didn't realize they were main act.  I just knew that they sung a lot more songs then the rest of the bands.  My sister Brooke got a picture with the lead singer of train. I wasn't lucky enough to get one, but I'm still going to show the picture I took for my sister.

It was a good day and I hope they raised enough money for the foundation.

De Niro and Apatow

4/19/12 Tribecca Film Festival held a talk with Judd Apatow and Robert De Niro on the panel.  My sister Brooke and I have never been to an event at Tribecca and turns out you should get to the events very early.  Brooke and I didn't know how crowded that event would get and by the time we got there we didn't get very good seats.  We sat in the last row at the event and the pictures aren't the greatest.  But it was fun watching from the last row everyone take pictures because it lit the room up.  Seeing the room light up from flashes or videotaping was pretty cool.

Judd Apatow and Robert De Niro were asked questions about film.  I don't know if I would say it was based on the entire film industry, but they did talk about their film careers.  It was interesting and a very short event.  Do I wish there was more?  Yes, but that's just me.  I love hearing about the film industry and I love to hear as much as I possibly can from people in the industry.

TVLAND AWARDS 2012

4/14/12 was the taping of TV LAND awards.  This award show started around 7pm.  All the guests had arrived before 7pm.  I couldn't believe how early that was.  I couldn't get any pictures of the red carpet because it was just to crazy and the people were walking pretty fast.  Also, the reporters were in front of them so it made it even harder to see.  But of course I'm not writing just to say that I didn't get any pictures of famous people.

I found the exit where the stars would be exiting out.  There were other people there but not as much as I usually have seen.  While I was waiting I was talking with some other people while waiting and then I saw this fascinating doll that I truly did not expect to see.  It was a Pee Wee Herman doll.  It could even speak but it was broken so you really couldn't understand it, and of course I couldn't resist so I took a picture.  Ironically we were standing on the side of a trailer that was Pee Wee Herman's.  He came out constantly.  It was almost like every 10 minutes he would come out of the building and into his trailer and then go back in again.  He was a nice guy.  He was busy and he couldn't stop for pictures but he waved, said hi and even said hi to someone's aunt on a cell phone.

By the time the stars started to come out it was dark.  For taking pictures with your cellphone that means that your screwed.  Most of the stars went right into their cars.  Some didn't come over but they walked slowly so you could take their picture.  Fran Drescher came out and I started to yell out "my mom's from queens, we're awesome. Come over"!  Didn't work but I think she heard cause she was laughing and if you hear my scream, trust me even the people who don't hear well can't hear me.  Its almost like I swallowed a megaphone and my voice projects out of that.  I tried to take the best picture I could but the fans were put back far and there was little light.

Mark Conseulos and Me
Then other stars came out, and finally Valerie Bertinelli came out.  I forgot to mention I was in my "Free Elka" shirt and Betty White Hoodie Buddie.  It was the most things I had that were close to the show Hot in Cleveland.  So I start yelling "Valerie come over! Please.  FREE ELKA.  YOUR AWESOME! HOT IN CLEVELAND ROCKS"!  She heard me the first time on the red carpet.  And I know she heard me when she was leaving.  And to those who say she probably didn't hear me then well, I'm still gonna say she did hear me. She couldn't come over but she stopped and waved to us.  Which was pretty cool.  She seems nice from afar.  Then right after that Kelly Ripa came out.  My phone decided to shut off on me so I didn't get a picture with her, but I did get one with her amazingly adorable husband Mark Consuelos and I managed to screw that up. One I'm barley in the picture and two I accidently put it on a blue effect.

For an award show it was very cool and awesome.   I had fun and got some decent pictures. I can't wait to watch the TV LAND AWARDS on TV!

James Franco is in the HOUSE

4/13/12 James Franco was having a book signing at a book store called Strand Book Store in the city.  I have to say this was the worst book signing I have ever been to and I just want to point out this had nothing to do with James Franco.  I'll start from the beginning.

My sister Brooke and I went to Strand book store in the city at around 2pm.  We got there and we went to buy the book.  We decided to buy one book because it was really expensive and they had a deal you could also get in if you bought a $20 gift card.  I had to run to class and I wouldn't be back until 5:30pm

Now fast forward to 6pm Brooke and I meet up at Strand Bookstore.  We checked it out and then I wandered off to find out where to go for the signing.  The people who worked there weren't really informed about the signing because they didn't know for where the people to go.  It was quite confusing and by the time we found out where to go the line was very long.  Then we had to wait for about an hour outside.  I was glad it was nice out and there were some nice people there to talk to in line.  By the time we got in there were almost no seats left.  They let you choose where to sit.  I found it ironic that they would crowd the floor that they had expensive old collectible books.  As everyone squeezed in together the event started.  First two people (i'm guessing they were workers at Strand) got up both with bandanas covering their faces and start throwing papers in everyones faces.  That pissed me off because I don't like papers being thrown at me and I'm guessing no one else does either.  Worst of all the paper was about Strand and I guess it was to help keep the store.    I'm guessing its also why the workers decided to take their time kicking out these people.  Then we got to see a video that James Franco did called "Penis nose in Paris".  It was an interesting movie.  Then some guy got up to speak and he spoke for like 20 minutes.  It felt like 5 hours and he was reading as if he thought the event was all about him.  Then there were people in masks who were meant to be the panel and even James Franco was wearing a mask.  I still today don't understand the point of the panel.  Next another lady was talking to James Franco and asking him questions.  I must say I was disappointed.  I didn't come there to hear random people speak.  I came for James Franco.  Finally they let the audience ask the questions.  Sadly since the people took so much time from James Franco he could only be asked three questions from the audience.  Luckily I was the last person to ask the question.  I asked if he ever used a bolex because he said before in the event that he likes to see how the film industry has changed over the years.  He said he had and then we started having a conversation.  I found out that James Franco and I were on separate pages of the conversation because the lady who was asking questions before kept interrupting him so he didn't know what we were talking about.  That really annoyed me.

The book signing started and oh my god CHAOS broke out.  The people working the event did not care what we did because there were over 100 people on the floor and all mobbed James Franco.  The workers kept yelling different things for us to.  They didn't care about having a line.  I felt horrible for James Franco because he had so many people in his face, and the workers were just moving the chairs and not caring.  Worst of all there was paper all over the floor which anyone could of slipped on and have hurt themselves.  Then as time passed I didn't see the line moving so I decided to get up close pictures of James Franco.  Brooke stayed in line because she really wanted to meet him.  Then one of the workers who was having a conversation I guess with one of her friends said no more pictures and then went back to her conversation.  Of course no one listened and kept taking pictures with him.  Then the lady looked over and yelled it out again and of course no one listened because she didn't care and we all knew it.  My sister finally gave up on standing on line and she knew that she wouldn't be able to meet him.  So we tried taking a picture with him in the background.  As we did that they said the event was over and we all had to leave.  One of the people there started to shove my sister away.  She just wanted a picture with him even if it was just in the background.  The workers at Strand Book store in the city just didn't care and made it very obvious.  I had never been so upset before in my life at a book signing.

This book was expensive and I didn't pay for it to not be signed so we returned the book.  When we bought the book it came with a free tote bag.  When they took the book they even had the nerve to take the tote bag too.  That was a slap in the face.

We tried to catch James Franco as he was coming-out but there were just to many people.  Overall I really enjoyed seeing James Franco.  I don't think any of this was his fault.  I thought he handled the situation very well.  Being mobbed by so many people with no security is just insane, but he handled himself so well.  I really respect him.

Just a heads up if you want to go to a book signing I recommend NOT going to any Strand Book Store.  You pay a lot of money to be disrespected. I'm sticking with Barnes and Nobles because they have better prices and they know how to treat the people with respect and organization.

Saturday Night Let's Party

On 4/8/12 to 4/9/12 Saturday Night Live was on tv.  Well instead of staying home and watching it on the tv I decided I would go to an after party and check out the people who would be there. I went with my sister Brooke so I wouldn't be alone in the city this "late" and "early" in the city.  I found out where the after party would be from some very nice people.  I forgot the name of the place it was being held but we had to go uptown for it.

It was about 1:30am or so until the stars started arriving. I couldn't get any good pictures because they were either being rushed in or to many people were crowding them.  I didn't think it was a big deal because I planned on staying until the party was over.

Me and Bobby Moynihan
People kept coming in and out of the party at different times.  Some people came out for smoking breaks and this gave the perfect opportunity to ask some of the actors for pictures.  I saw Bobby Moynihan and I waited until he was done talking with a friend.  I got to ask him for a picture and he was a down to earth guy.  He was kind and respectful to everyone who was waiting.

Me and Taran Killam
The next person that I got to meet was Taran Killam.  He was very cool and took pictures with anyone who asked.  The picture is a little blurry, but I must say this was the only picture Brooke took that was blurry.

The next person I got to meet was Fred Armisen.  He was incredibly sweet.  I told him that his new show Portlandia was very funny.  Which it is so everybody check it out.

Fred Armisen and Me
He was the last celeb that I got to meet and take pictures with.  There were a lot more people but not everyone stopped.

Live From New York its Rachel Dratch

On 4/412 Rachel Dratch had a book signing for her new book  "A Girl Walks Into A Bar".  I had work that day so right after work I took a cab and headed straight for the book signing.  I even managed to get into the front row thanks to a friend.  I really didn't have to wait long.  I waited for about 40 minutes.  I was talking with a friend so the time passed by fast.

Rachel Dratch
Rachel Dratch
Finally it was 7pm and Rachel Dratch arrived.  She first had to take pictures for the press. No one realized she had even arrived so of course I yelled out "you go girl".  The applause came right after that.  She read for a few minutes from her book.  Then she decided to take questions from the audience.  The first person who asked a questioned actually didn't ask a question.  Instead he was giving a list of movies some actress had done that was not about Rachel Dratch.  It was very random.  Then when they asked for another question I looked around the room and I saw that no one was raising their hand, so I thought it was time to have a little fun.  I raised my hand and I got to ask the question.  I asked "What's it like to be funny"?  The audience started to laugh and it was pretty funny.  Rachel Dratch had no idea how to respond to that.  But she did say she didn't really know but she hangs out with other funny people.

Me and Rachel Dratch
There were some more questions and then the book signing happened.  I was second in the line which was pretty cool.  When I met her I asked if she knew someone that I knew.  She did and she seemed very kind.  I even got to take a picture with her.  She was really nice and I can't wait to read her book.
